GEO

We use the diagram above where lines l and m are parallel and line t intersecting both l and m is called a transversal. We identify angles by their positions in this diagram. For example, angles 1 and 2 are both facing in the same direction, to the upper right. Such angles are called corresponding angles. Similarly we have angles 3 and 6, angles 4 and 7, and angles 8 and 5 as corresponding angles.

Angles 8 and 2 and angles 3 and 7 are on opposite sides of the transversal and between (interior) the parallel lines. We call these angles alternate interior angles.

Angles 1 and 5 and angles 4 and 6 are on opposite sides of the transversal and above and below (exterior to) the parallel lines. We call these angles alternate exterior angles.

A direct result of the famous Parallel Postulate is that corresponding angles are equal. Accepting this fact gives us these relationships
Using these facts, especially the fact that corresponding angles are equal, we can show that other angles must also be equal.

Since angle 2 is supplementary to angle 6 and angle 1 is supplementary to angle 4, we know that angles 6 and 4 are equal because they are supplementary to equal angles. These angles 6 and 4 are alternate exterior angles.

Since angle 1 is supplementary to angle 3 and angle 7 is supplementary to angle 2 and angles 1 and 2 are equal, we also know that angles 7 and 3 are equal because they are supplementary to equal angles. These angles 7 and 3 are alternate interior angles.

Major fuel shortages are spreading across Greece as customs officers decide to extend their strike against austerity measures until Tuesday.

Long lines of cars are to be seen in petrol stations across greece as fuel is running out after an extension of customs officers industrial action against the neoliberal austerity measures imposed by the government on the pretext of the national credit crisis. Initially the strike which began last Tuesday 16 February was to end on Friday 19, but customs officers have announced its extension to Tuesday 23 causing panic to drivers and a headache to the government. According to the bourgeois media, half the stations in and around Athens have already run out of unleaded, with the depots of the rest expected to empty within the day. The only city that has evaded the problem due to extended deposits is Salonica. Google Maps

Maps.google.com

Maps.google.com is a world renown website doing what the website implies. A system run by google, and easily accessible by viewing the google homepage. It's a simple system of maps for practically everything, you just type in the address of the place you're looking for, and google maps will give you a detailed map, and(optionally) possible routes to take to get there, from your current location. I give this a thumbs up because of the simple feel of google maps to veteran users on the web, and those who are still getting the feel of the internet. Also, possibly the best reason to use it, GOOGLE MAPS IS FREE!!!

Call of Duty sales

Between the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero franchise earnings, Bobby Kotick could probably make himself a house of solid gold or something. Activision is telling everyone how much cash they've got with this modest press release:

Activision Blizzard, Inc. announced today that the Call of Duty franchise has surpassed $3 billion in retail sales worldwide, according to The NPD Group, Charttrack, GfK and internal Activision estimates. Since it's first release, the award-winning Call of Duty franchise has sold in excess of 55 million units worldwide. The latest title in the franchise, Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, recently shattered box office and video game records with a worldwide estimated five-day sale through of approximately $550 million, establishing the game as the biggest entertainment launch in history.

"Call Of Duty has become one of the greatest entertainment franchises of all time," said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, Inc. "If you consider the number of hours our audiences are engaged in playing Call of Duty games, it is likely to be one of the most viewed of all entertainment experiences in modern history."

Michael Jackson

How can one figure out what to say upon hearing of the passing of someone like Michael Jackson? Even that statement doesn't make any sense; there is, and never will be, anyone else like Michael Jackson. There aren't many celebrities who we can look to and come close to what Michael Jackson has meant to so many of us throughout our lives. The closest names we can think of are Brooke Shields and Sammy Davis, Jr.They make the list because they were in the public eye since they were children, Brooke with her first advertisements at the age of 10, and Sammy when he was performing with his father and bandmates from the age of 3. No one can ever replace the work Michael has done for not just music, but the world.

Michael Jackson, in a weird way, aged in reverse, almost like Benjamin Button, the movie with Brad Pitt. As a child, he was already an adult beyond his years, helping the family make deals, being the leader of his singing group from the age of 5, and singing and dancing as though he was already a seasoned performer for years.

His movie was also produced, and it would be great for any fan to see his final production before his untimely death.

Macs

Smoking is not only bad for you, but it's bad for your Apple Macbook according to Apple.

Consumerist, a blog that tries to look out for consumers in the US, is reporting that Apple has refused to repair two unrelated broken Apple laptops because their owners smoke.

However, according to experts, cigarette smoke could easily kill a laptop by covering the insides with a sticky tar goo.

"Electronics are hot, and naturally create an environment for dust to collect around its circuitry. What makes cigarette smoke the worse kind of "dust" is that it isn't dry. The smoke carries moisture with it", Ryan's Computer Consulting Services says."So in time, the smoke and all of its by-products attach themselves to the computer fans, heatsinks, capacitors, and anything else that has heat".

The company recommends "using compressed air, cotton swabs, and rubbing alcohol 70% or 90% (90% is better)", if you are going to attempt to clean the computer out yourself.

Modern Warfare 2

n Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the new, best-selling video game by Infinity Ward, a fictional nationalist organization tricks the Russian government into attacking the United States. Pro-Russian, this game isn't.

And now, the real Russian government has reportedly banned sales of Modern Warfare 2 for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3, even as Infinity Ward works to roll out a censored version of the eagerly-anticipated first-person shooter.

On Friday, the fan site Hellforge reported that all copies of Modern Warfare 2 had been pulled from store shelves in Russia:

My top 10 favorite Horror Movies

10. The shining -1980
9. The exorcist -1973
6. Jaws-1975
3. The omen:666-2006

Even though Child's Play is an old movie, I chose it as my first because it was in fact the first horror movie I had ever seen, and even if the effects and actual content of the movie are lacking, at the time I saw it, it was extreamly scary.
